SnowDrifter
If you want good cheap wiring, find 0 gauge welding cable on craigslist. It's $2/foot and all OFC Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

LZTYBRN
How long of a run is it from your batts to amps? If it's short enough, you'll probably be able to do one positive and one negative run of CCA to each amp just fine. Otherwise, just go with the OFC... You could do 2 runs of CCA, but then you'd need dual inputs. I will 2 + and - into each amp plus 4 + runs and 3-s..… and way about candece Why would you do more positive runs than negative? I've heard mixed reviews about cadence. I use their 4 gauge CCA, but only because I know my amp draws mush less than the wire can handle, and I would suggest the same. VOPA
it is approx the same as other 0awg and current kinda depends on distance Quote 04 Monochrome LT Chevy Tahoe -A few wires, half a speaker, some watts -All Black 6's -Paint to Match, SS Bumper, Black grills. -HID'ed and LED'ed -A few performance enhancers I have two nice subs for sale, but I am not allowed to help my fellow forum members by offering it to them for a nice price via my signature, sorry
SnowDrifter
I'm not really sure how to answer that.. How many amps it can handle is dependent on your desired (lack of) voltage drop - which is dependent on how many runs you do, the length of said runs, and how many amps you are pulling. I use this calculator for my needs. Try to keep voltage drop no more than 5%. Ideally, shoot for around 2.5% http://www.nooutage.com/vdrop.htm Edited June 26, 2012 by SnowDrifter Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

ChevyBoy95
Or get Lucky and run into a lot of ppl selling stuff...... And does anyone ever even us candece smh, cadence is cheap for a reason, it is CCA, even if it says it is OFC it isnt. if you cheap out on wire, you might as well not even do the build, watts are determined by voltage and amperage. What delivers the voltage and amperage you ask????? WIRE DOES. The more wire or less resistant wire aka OFC will cause less voltage drop from the resistance in the wire and carry amperage more efficiently to the amps or batteries. OFC is king shit because it is all copper, therefore expensive.
