n8ball2013
i dont understand why anyone would wanna run their system under 1 ohm. A fried amp isnt worth the extra 2dB if you ask me. im willing to bet you probably wont see 2db out of it anyways. cjN
i have a buddy running his at a quarter ohm daily, seeing about a half an ohm rise, so his amp is seeing .75ohms, and it's still doing fine. it doesnt even drop below like 13 volts, if you know what you're doing, it can be done. and those are strong amps. sprkn_ranger
I think it's silly to drop below what the manufacture recomends if it's a daily setup. If you need/want more power, then buy another amp. Cause eventually the amp running below rated WILL fail and you will need to buy another one anyway Quote Check out my build log! 4 Havocs in a blowthrough http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/187506-sprkn-rangers-blowthrough-build/

andale927
You can run it at .5 but I personally wouldn't run it if my voltage dropped below 13.5. When voltage drops more current is needed and that is what will end up blowing your amp. (probably)
kr15
I run my dd m3 at .5 daily on less electrical then what OP has and I have never had any issues. DD amps are extremely stout below 1ohm. I watch my voltage and for just daily driving I ensure that it never drops below 13v, and even if im giving a full tilt demo, I try and make sure it doesnt drop below low to mid 12s, and the instant it drops that low, I back off of it. That said, alot of amp failures are due to the user. Regardless of how stout some amps are below 1ohm, you still need to be prepared to watch voltage, ensure that amp is producing cleanly etc. It helps to have a quality amp to begin with tho.
