GET RID OF THE BATTERY LIGHT

Recommended Posts

Is the alt charging correctly?

Is the control wires fully seated in the connector?

Do you have a separate voltmeter? If so use that to monitor the voltage for faults (sucks to have a dash light on though).

Any wires you disconnected and didn't reconnect?

All grounds tight with clear conductivity?

I assume you have the AVBM and your car is PCM controlled..... The AVBM tricks the PCM to allow for voltage adjustment, and thus, the car thinks there is a problem when there isnt. I just sent my Mechman back to have the AVBM added on, and they warned me I may get a battery light, but, other then the dummy light being on, the car is fine.

Pull the lightbulb for the battery icon socket. Win. (if possiable)

Also check the fuse boxes.... Both of them, under the dash and under the hood. There should be a fuse that is in line with the charging system, if it popped, boom, instant battery light. I dropped $200 on a replacement alternator, just because that damn fuse was bad. Either way, the light is nothing big to worry about.
