zx10intn
ok guys, i have never tried a 3 way set and think i want to try one just for shits and giggles really. i have a clarion nx501 HU and a dc 175.4 to power the comps. i would like to power the 6.5s off of 2 channels of the amp and the midrange and tweeters through the passive crossovers on the other 2 channels of the amp. the only set i have really looked into so far are the CDT cl-632's but cant find much user based info on them. iy may be cheaper and be able to be set up better, but i really dont want to go the PA route. any advice or experience/suggestions you have had with a 3-way setup is appreciated. edit: forgot to mention, i would like to stay under $600 Edited July 10, 2012 by zx10intn Quote 1969 Chevy Chevelle 20/22" staggered Bonspeed Huntingtons wrapped in Nitto INVO's Mechman 250amp cs144 alt w/AVBM Kinetik 1800 main battery/Kinetik 2400 in the trunk Pioneer AVH-3200dvd Headunit (2) sets of Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagine components up front (2) DD 3512's d4 coils Sundown sax100.4 component amp Sundown saz-3000d subwoofer amp 5ft^3 box tuned to 34hz MY BUILD
OrionStang
You can get a lot of good 3-way sets for that budget. Go look at woofersetc and browse the 3-ways. I wouldn't buy from there, but they have a lot to look at and compare. You're gonna need something that can handle that 175.4 Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Robert8252
I still loved my hertz high enery hsk 163 three ways. Think they go for around 7-800 msrp but if I'm right about 700 I'm sure a dealer would work with you. Liked the Mille as well but that about 4 times your budget with a crossover. Haven't tried others so I can't compare but I loved the 3" high energy mid. I hear the audison voce 3" is awesome as well. That's all I got. I'm a hertz nut hugger though. jbondox
hertz 3-way, ask ray on here, he is a hertz dealer. I am installing a set in a clients vehicle, and think they are phenomenal. you can look at the passive crossover and modify it to take out the mid bass section or bi-amp, which is what we do.
