HunterJohnson
This will be in a scion tc 2006 hatch back. Subs: Sundown Zv3 (1500rms) D1's wired in series to 1ohm Amps: 2 Skar 1500.1's strapped After box rise I want to be at 2 ohms or less Max dimensions: Width 41 Height 12.5 Depth 21 Currently I'm tuned to 27hz on 2 sa-12's and I peak at 39hz which is where Id like to stay for a peak. I'd go to 29 or 30hz MAX I am open to aeroports or kerfing or slot port or whatttever. Thanks for your time click the link in my signature if you want to see the current box Edited July 19, 2012 by HunterJohnson Quote Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass

Joe X
Looking at your previous box it seems to me that when the hatch is closed the ports firing back are almost sealed back there, I guess that changing the port direction up (even with a turn) with that design would help. I am weary to do a port up because I tried it with my alpine type x and it sounded like shit. Even tho they only have an inch of space it sounds really good. I think the best idea is to take an inch of the depth instead of shooting the ports up Quote Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass
Joe X
If you want sub up/ports back I would do something like this: I would cover one of the 4" aero ports for daily and use all 3 to get loud.

I could even fix my current box to look like that. Do you know anything about putting subs as close together as possible to sound best/loudest? Do you know anything about putting subs as close together as possible to sound best/loudest? Bear in mind that this is not a design, just a way out for the ports without taking much net volume. Yes there's plenty of infos around the internet about the increased acoustic power but I don't think that 2" more or less will change anything dramatically.
