iirc ricks policy is "if I don't build it, I don't design it" and vice versa "if I don't design it, I don't build it".

I agree with that. Nothing worse then spending the time to work out a nice box for someone just to have them build it differently, then bitch it doesn't sound good.

Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

Thanks for all the info guys. And to real96ss, yeah i would love to have them do my build but I dont live there anymore do to being in the military so looks like i may just post up my dimensions and goals for my Avalanche and see what kind of feedback I get.

What Branch are you and where are you currently? I have an Avalanche that I have been putting together trying to get loud.being my first big build I have been looking for advice but not much on the Avy for Comp stuff

Hey Jerome. Yea a couple of guys did tell ya right. I don't sell or give out box designs. Like one guy said..." I don't build it unless I design it, and I don't design it unless I build it" he quoted me. Lol. Call it quality control.

I have done work on an avalanche and gotten them pretty loud.

One was 3 DD3510"

Another build was two Sundown Zv.3 18".

Both were in excess of 150dB with the two 18" setup being the louder of the two at 153.0dB on 2500 watts clamped at 34-38hz (same score).

I can certainly do the build for you if you ate interested, but Pulse Car Audio itself is currently closed, and not sure if or when I may re-open it up. It was a tough choice to make, but necessary at this time.

Thank you all for the kind words.

What kind of box did you have doing the 153 in the Avy and was that sealed on the dash?

Im in the Navy Seabees down here in Mississippi. I just got back into car audio a few months ago and have slowly started building and modifing my set up. I started out with one Digital Designs 9515 on a crescendo 3500 in a ported box that was in the bed firing into the cab but that wasnt loud enough so I got another 9515 in a sixth order that im pretty happy with (145.1 on the term lab). In the next few weeks im getting another 3500 to put on them strapped. That will be my setup for the next few months until I plan my wall for four or six of the 9515's.

Box for two Sundown Zv.3 18". Yes that was sealed on the dash. The box was a "ported" design.

Holy shit thats pretty good seeing how I could only pull a 151 out of my ported box tuned to 38hz. Now I'm doing a 4th order so its a test and retest type thing right now.

Man your going to wall it, I'm going to be watching that because unless i missed it somewhere I have never seen one walled. Its a guy on here that has 4 15's in a blowthrough 6th doing 154-156 I believe but he's running like 5000w to each sub. I'm planning something bigger after I get back to the states in December since I'm going to Vegas. Do you have a build log already on here?

Yeah screw it, I figured to get the numbers I really want a wall is what its gonna take. Ive looked on multiple forums and I still havent seen a walled avy so I may be the first. I havent offically started the build yet so no build log. I wanna see what numbers i can pull from my current box when i strap the next amp to it before I move on to the wall. I still have alot of research to do before i start.
