Tim Lam
i think what they meant to say is, it is very hard to get close to 18 volts, even with the right equipment. and the gear you have, you most likely be idling at ~14 volts. and i think those optimas are 12V batteries. highest you could possibly run is maybe 16V with some Kinetik HC1600's
TeamHT
No you don't see it either. It's not as simple as buying a 16 volt battery. You still need have to address the issue of charging, the basic issue, which will not get resolved on $200. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you? Crandis16
you're crazy genius if you can pull this off, the stock alt won't get nearly that high unless you get a high output alt (with voltage adjuster) to adjust the voltage that it sits at. someone correct me if I'm wrong Quote My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL

TeamHT
You're confusing max operating voltage for the amplifier and you're charging. Stock electrical is a 12volt setup charging at 14volts. Adding a 16volt battery does not make you charge at 18volts like it is assumed. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
