meade916
Heres my day....ran wire from the front all the way to the back and soldered all the terminals. It may seem like overkill but for the distance im running the wire i think its just right. Todays mission was to run 2 1/0 positive and 2 1/0 negative from the front to rear amp rack as well as a few other 1/0 runs. Pics may look boring but it was alot of work so i gotta post them! This was me all day on my back from the planning (mapping the runs out) to the 1 at a time pushing, pulling, reaching, and fishing this wire. first two runs in time for the second set.. meade916
Ok there is one silver 1/0 going from the battery to the alt bracket, and one going from the battery to a nice chassis ground close by. Then there is second 1/0 Neg (silver) on the alternator bracket and it runs all the way to the back distribution block (pics to follow). Then there is another 1/0 silver going from that chassis ground which also has a direct 1/0 back to the battery (-) post. That cable runs to the rear as well. Finally when these grounds make it to the back dist. block i also did a chassis ground on that block as well. I guess you could say i went well beyond the "big 3" There is 2 pos/2neg 1/0 from front to rear as well as rock solid chassis/battery grounds......basicly here is tonites "after work-work" Heres some more wiring...got the 1/0 up into the car today. Its pouring rain and getting late so this is about it for the evening. starting to come together.... meade916
ok here is a little task...first i pulled the door panels off so i can see whats behind them. nothin like a set of "by 8's" in the doors....gonna replace these with some 6 1/" seperates in the front doors and 5 1/4" seperates in the rear doors. Of course im going to run all new wires to the doors too. Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! meade916
Ok the door panels were pretty easy but this thing was sorta a pain since ive never dealt with a '05 Navigator before. Ok what your looking at here is a module that turns the factory touch screen navigation deck into a working monitor....which it wasnt before for some reason. Everything is still the same but now she can switch to whatever is playing on one of the 2 dvd players that will be in this ride.
