If you ask for "car specific paint" they can look up a code and find it for you. 87chevyboi Posted August 10, 2012 Report Share Posted August 10, 2012 it really pends on how deep the scratches are, if you buy the wax that is specified for that kind of removal and not saying they make one but they make a heavy duty compound, and a light compound wax so it will help you out. Also if you know how to use a buffer machine and the right compound that can work too but as far as buying some shit from walmart i dont care what anybody says it will not match your paint job unless you just bought it off the lot and it wasnt in the sun that long. Paint fades overtime so its really hard to match up the paint. It might come close but will never be spot on imo. Ive tried it on a couple cars and it just wont work less its a newer truck/car and it hasnt really faded that bad.
