benchmade, kershaw, cold steel, crkt. there are others that are good, but those are what i end up back to

i carry mostly crkt, mainly because i tend to find them on sale. have you looked through the knives thread on here, there are a bunch of good ones in there.

In the sub $100 you will find some Benchmade, Spyderco

$75 and Under: Buck, Gerber, Kershaw

An EDC that will hardley get any use can be most anything. Cut some paper, poke a hole, clean your nails. No biggie.

When you get to the crazy $ EDC you are looking and metal used, handle quality ETC.

It's like anything else in life, it's use will dictate what you need. Theres plenty of brands out there.

Rolex you sicken me.

Rolex man you should check out busse if you do any hiking or camping and want the best for hard use. They are a little pricey but it will last longer then you will be alive. They only carry a few models at a time but you can get older models brand new or used in the FS section of busse combat knife on blade forums.com. Definatley the best all around steel of there IMO. Scrap yards are great too and much cheaper.

I personally like all the tests cold steel runs their items through to make sure its up to their standard, and their standard is pretty high.

Ive played with a few, dont own any yet because ive been collecting firearms/rebuild/pc build, possibly another new vehicle build.. but with the way they test their stuff, cold steel will be the company i go through, and see how well they hold up.
