My bad..., thought it was a 12'

Anyways, a proper ported box will sound better than a sealed box when built and tuned correctly.

A sealed box isn't going to give you much below 35-40hz anyway. Build a ported box tuned to 30-33hz you will get the lows you want and it will still punch the higher notes some bit.! I had one of these in 2.7suft tuned to 32hz off 1.5Kw and it was a pretty musical box, maybe a little small but musical. I sold it and 2 years larter its still goind strong

Good luck fitting those back there in anything more than a sealed box. Your best bet is to sell those and get a pair of decent 12s or 10s depending on your trunk space.

Bet they'd sound a hell of a lot better than those 15's.

edit: just saw your dims. from the looks of your trunk, you're gonna have to build the box inside the trunk. you won't be able to get it out of the trunk that way.

pair of 12's will sound better than the 15's you have once you build a proper box.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I'm with captain stupid.

12cu ft in the back seat of a Jetta?

You should measure it and the port and post your dimensions here.

This is going in the trunk, not the back seat.

Since you asked for dims: 17" tall, 37.5" wide, 39" deep. Yes, i've measured. It will fit.

My bad - reading > me

So even with enough room in the trunk, there's not enough room on the baffle for a port.

Anyway, what I meant originally was measure the current box and these guys might tell you why it sounds the way it does.

you have no low end because you have massive cancellation and kickers dont exactly reach down and jiggle your balls anyways. I cant see you fitting them in the trunk. even sealed.

I beg to differ. I've got one of my old Kicker Comp 12s in my 2.2 cu ft. box for my ZCON tuned to 31Hz and Rack City still jiggles my balls. And I surprisingly haven't blown it with my BRZ2100 yet ^_^
