I just called the DMV and they said you could not sell something if it's in bankruptcy. It was a 2008 GSXR 600 for $2500. 11,000 miles, frame sliders, HID kit.. clean title. Small scratches on the bottom fairing, but no cracks.

whoever holds the title might be able to sell it.

True, whoever holds the title might try sell it and recoup some of their money.

Could get it for a steal...

You want this to happen to you? Give decent handshakes people.

that may be true but the lien holder owns equally with the registered owner .that being said if the loan is not paid the lien holder can repo it or get a duplicate title and report it stolen if you stay ahead of the repo man . or least that's how it works in minnesota.

let it go and keep shopping around for another bike. or yall can go to the lien holder, see how much he owes and if its less than what he asking you can pay that to the lien holder and the rest to the seller, get the titles and go to a notory and finish the deal. if the lien is more than he's asking for the bike, walk away

yeah seems like a decent deal but bike buyin season is coming. hold off. unless you could work it out with the lienholder and then its not worth the effort. tell his broke ass to pay his bills and he would have had a sale.
