Daniel Shepard
There is a guy local selling a dc m2 level 4 12 with level 5 coils. Im wondering what size of box this thing would have to have before I offer him money. I have a audiopipe ap15001d 1500rms @1 ohm amp, my max sizes are l=36 w=18 h=16. Im wanting a loud 'music' box. Can anyone help me with a design here? thanks!
Maebros
well DC reccomends 1.5ft3 for level 4's so you would want something around that. which those dims should be no problem i would download torres and play around with those dims until you get what you want. Daniel Shepard
Since my amp is smaller then what most people are running should I make the box bigger thus more efficient
superdave07
With that amp, i would probably shoot for 1.6 cubes after total displacement. Around 14sq inches of port volume. Tune it where ever you want. Should be golden. I've found these subs tend to like large port area. nice to see you on SMD Quote Xterra * 69 Camaro * Audi S5 36 Ford * 51 Mercury looking for wire sponsor www.flyracing.com
CJ18
1.5ft3 net with 14in2 of port tuned around 33-35hz would be my recommendation.
