Carbon Fiber Box, NEW AMP RACK PICS ADDED, Page 13!!!

Recommended Posts

Last, but not least, the port floor as it will look from the rear of the box. This is the part people will see when I open the hatch door to the back of the Escalade. The carbon you see on the vertical walls is just single layer at this point. Still has four layers to go on the outside of the box, so I wasn't too concerned about my brush sheddings staying in the resin. Also, I know the floor piece doesn't look 100% right, but that is because I still have one final piece to put in that will cover all of the seams. That will be one of the last things I do and it will overlap the CF that goes over the outside of the box. That's why you see seams right now, but you won't later when things are finished......

so let me get this right you have FOUR LAYERS of CF on the inside and out??? Will it effect the sound quality if you only do one layer and if you use 3/4" MDF??? I realy want to do this to show off but i know this is way out of my league and my mom would not DARE let me spend as much money on this project.

If you want o show off carbon fiber, dont have money and dont care about strength, get carbon vinyl wrap. Also this thread is pretty dead, like I haven't seen Captain on here in a good minute.
