97Jetta1637 Posted August 23, 2012 Report Share Posted August 23, 2012 i didn't read the story as that shit pisses me off, as does all news that isn't a personal interest of mine. the judicial system isn't tough enough for my own liking. if i was to get in trouble with the law, felony wise, i'd take a maximum punishment, why pity me for my mistakes? guy beats the fuck out of a girl, kidnaps hers, and then threatens her and only gets 5 years? no way that's fair, there needs to be a minimum of 10-15 years. hell, even if it was a male he did this too, it shouldn't be taken lightly no matter the gender. i was watching russia's toughest prisons and a guy said he stole a loaf of bread, first offense, and got 6 months in jail. just for stealing a $3 loaf of bread. hell people are getting 15 - life in the US for murder. no, an eye for an eye may leave the whole world blind, but all is fair in love and war, and prison time is definitely a war that needs to be even all around the board starting at the first offense. kill a person? life in prison with fellow murderers, that way if they kill one, all they're doing is killing someone who has no soul for killing someone. now along the lines of murder ie: self defense. you have to right to defend yourself, but if it's murder via self defense it should only be necesary. no need to put .50 cal in someones brain for scratching your car. but if a family member or loved one is in a dangerous situation where talking, or just fists aren't going to solve the problem, then that's a different story. if they have a knife and go to stab you, fuck it, stab them, shoot them, or beat the holy living hell out of them as i'm sure some of you can. /rant sorry for the long post, i got heated...
