How the DD-1 Saved a customer

Recommended Posts

To the above comment no we did not charge the customer. He drove from ***** to come and see us. Asto how he ended up with so nice a system with so little knowledge it was his sons make a wish. His son is in a wheel chair and wanted a real stereo. :)

Really nice folks that left with a huge smile!

Now that is the coolest reason i have EVER heard for someone placing a system in their ride

Nicely done Rusty... THAT is Customer Service bro keep it up... Glad to see the DD-1 helped :)

Cool story. Nice customer service at DC.

But those 2 shops are scarry !!!!! They could not set the gain right on an amp ?!!!

Before the DD-1 people could set the system with their ears. Maybe they were all deaf at those shops !!!

black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp

OEM head unit, Amplifiers Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200.

Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats.

2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3  ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.

Stories like these make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Another reason DC Audio rules!

also, the fact that the sub took that kind of abuse for so long and kept going definitely shows DC quality!

that is the problem......they were set by ears. Some ears are better then others for sure but in the end they are ALL still guessing.

Thats neat man! Glad he learned something too!

I emailed a local shop once asking if they tuned with a dd1 or oscope and the owner replied saying he had no idea what I was talking about. Had never heard of the dd1. and then said some random stuff about how to tune by ear and turn the gain up as high as possible.

Yepp, they're never getting any business.

That is so cool of you guys to help this stranger out. We've all been there, and there's no greater feeling than finally stumbling across someone who actually cares about the problem and is more than willing to help.

Good job, Rusty! Great CS!!

That is what makes woofers stink, that is what makes tweeters sizzle, that is what makes customers return products to the store and the store blame the manufacturer. That store sends the woofer in and someone like Rusty loses money. Why? because the installer never bothered to set the gains properly.

Which in the long run increases the cost of products for everyone across the board.
