dkahns51
I was wondering why my head unit distortion level changes when I have different amplifiers ? T1000-4 chan distortion at 40/40 and T2500bdcp 40hz 40/40 T600-2 distortion at 37/40 @40hz Skar 85.4 38/40 T1000-5 distortion at 40/40 and 33/40@40hz how come the head unit distortion changes depending on what amp you use? Those were 3 different setups, not all at one time. CleanSierra
A HU clips at where it clips, it doesn't change. Aren't the RCAs unplugged from the HU to check for distortion anyway?!?! Bmike
Are you checking head unit distortion through the deck or through the amp? dkahns51
You have the option if checking it threw the amplifier and this is what I do. So the RCA cable are still in. Bmike
Im only guessing , but it probably has something to do with the amps. Not saying theres anything wrong with them. will77530
when the gain is up on the amps even the slightest bit it will show the head unit clipping at a lower volume..........
