Recommended Posts

Ok im still dipping down to 11ish. Any help will be MUCHO appreciated. I have a positive run to back and a negative run to back. Stock alt and batt in front and a Shuriken BT-100 in the rear. Big 3 done in 1/0 as well as all runs. Running a Skar 1500 on (2) SA-15's @ 1ohm and a Planet Audio BB 4.150 on (2) sets of mids. I have a 2001 Bravada with a 120 amp stock alt I believe. Beats like hell but dips LOOOOWWWW at full tilt even after just a few minutes. Cant really enjoy it. Any help will be appreciated!!

11 seems low to me......with what your running.....

Is that the original stock battery ?? That could be all but dead......

Yes, you need more. ALT and bank.

But, for what your running.... and you see 11 after just seconds of playing?!?!?!... i would be all over that thing, meters in hand...........

Whats resting voltage? Have those batteries checked. You shouldnt be dipping that low. Check all connections to make sure they arent loose. Check grounds, depending on where you put them they may need to be moved. A bad ground will mess everything up.

Ive seen drops into the 11s with true 1200 watt amps. cause = shitty wiring. Voltage drop so quickly is usually caused by bad wiring somewhere. If he has 2 batts on that amp My bet would behe has bad grounds first, then that he didnt use OFC. that alt and battery no matter what stock bat he has (unless it is dead) and the secondary bat is more than enough to run that with good wiring

Battery up front is a brand new Walmart special. Biggest I could get BEFORE I had beats in the truck. I have one negative run to the back Shuriken and its grounded up front along with the big 3 scraped to bare metal and engine block. The Shuriken is NOT grounded in back. Should I ground it in back? The front rests @ 12.2 & Shuriken rests at 12.4. When running, Shuriken is at 14.2 & front is at 14.1. I figured im only running just a tad over 1800 watts total and believed the big 3 and Sburiken would suffice. And all wire is Knu CCA..
