Chris Hammer
you could spend the money to buy a second AQ amp to strap it and ACTUALLY SAVE $, rather than doing the electrical upgrades necessary to run something so small on .5 ohm. although upgraded electrical is always going to be good. an added point....your electrical that you have will probably be fine for two of those AQ's strapped at 2 ohms, if im wrong somebody else can chime in on that. Thats still doubling his current draw. If he got a second and strapped them he would need to still upgrade electrical. My question here is how were you going to switch from 1ohm to .5?? Recones? if you are getting recones just to wire down or strap the amps you would probably save money just getting an amp that does 2k+ at 1ohm Quote MY BUILD *****http://tinyurl.com/gmcbuild***** Vehicles 2005 GMC Canyon CB1000r - Currently where any future funds are going. cmegorm250
I bought a dual 1 ohm sub. The sub that was in my truck is dual 2 ohm. Time to upgrade alternator

Lbox88
Full tilt I only drop to 14V while driving and my lights never dim. It might have something to do with my stock 155A alt, 1 run of +/- 1/0, and 2 spare batteries tho. 4 Quote UBL | Build Log
ALPINE408
thats far from stock electrical Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown?
cmegorm250
Put my system in at .5 and everything is fine voltage is the same as 1ohm, amp gets Luke warm after about 10-15mins. So I guess the optima yellow top is fine for 1200 watts.

n8ball2013
Op you do realize that just because you cut your impedence in half you arent getting the same gain as you would going from 4 to 2 or 2 to 1 right? meaning you arent getting 600 at 2 ohm 1200 at 1 and then 1800 at .5 right? 1 Quote THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.
