Cody I think it's like a heat sink basically, I mean what if an amp used a paper heat sink compared to an aluminum one, maybe tony has a better answer

I've gotten a blowjob and picked up my iphone behind her back to see what email notification I got from smd before

These subs sound great.

Im looking forward to running a few myself.

And real nice pricing, for what the sub is.

You say medium sized ported boxes nut do you have any box recommendations or are they still in the works?

Box recommendations for each subwoofer can be seen on the page for that woofer. Click on the small picture of the subwoofer to get to it's dedicated page. Here is a direct link to the 12" page http://damoreengineering.com/af-12.html

Tony I've always wondered this and hoped you could explain it to me,

Why use aluminum cones and dust caps? Wont that make the cone and dust cap stay hot, not allowing the coils to cool down?Or does it work as a heat dissipation method?

Remember the HDC3s that had aluminum coils handled more power than the copper coils and could dissipate heat better.

A metal cup of coffee will become colder faster than a paper or styrofoam cup of coffee.
