soundsystemaniac
DO WORK! I have been, but there is TONS more work to be done. Sounds good so far. One 350 amp alt with those batts will be plenty for those amps. I hope so. Id like to get away with 2 d3100s and one s3400 under the hood, but if i need more to keep 13.0+ on the voltmeter, then i will get another d3100. Sounds interesting im lurking on this thanks for looking! pics are about 75% uploaded. Do work! yezzir! Pro7
Will the computer components withstand the vibrations? I mean I'd hate to see a ton of work and money go into the computer part of the build and have the vibrations from the subs ruin the equipment I've gotten a blowjob and picked up my iphone behind her back to see what email notification I got from smd before

The only thing that i can think of within the computer that could have negative effects due to the vibrations of the woofers is the HDD. and if you're bumping hard enough that could definitely be a problem. this could be resolved by using primarily SSD'S when the subs are slamming. or you could just take the chance and replace the hard drives if they do end up being damaged. anyways, sounds like it will be an awesome build. looking forward to seeing your progress. If you have any questions relating to nutrition, lifting, or health in general, feel free to give me a PM and I will give you straight forward advice with no BS involved. soundsystemaniac
this is the van. 1994 Chevy ASTRO EXT with 127000 miles on it. Its actually in really good shape for its age. the first xs d3100 the alpine radio. its a cda 9815. I ended up having to make my own dash kit because the factory radio was an 8 track player and is only 5 1/8 inches deep with little to no room to spare and the alpine is like 6 1/4 or something like that. so ^^thats what i came up with. its just a piece of mdf with a roundover edge. turned out pretty nice for a few mins worth of work. this is pretty much the box design--only i flipped the ports and subs so the ports are on top, because when you look behind the 3rd row bench, i figured it would be better to see all the ports instead of half the subs. this is the diamond plating that we bought. its 1/16th inch thin and when we bought it, we had some cheap rope to tie it to the van with and it snapped and the diamond plate fell off and got bent. so we put some weight on it to flatten it out again. thats my brother btw. getting glue on the baffles to put them together. well, i got the back baffle cut and prepped for the plexiglass. the 1 1/4 inch sheet of plexiglass drilled and tapped every one of the holes so we didnt have to use nuts on the otherside of the plexiglass. we got this sheet of plexiglass for free, and the only problem with it is that it had 5 holes in the middle. the center one will be used for bracing, and the other 4, we just tapped and put bolts in them so that they would be sealed and look good. i countersunk all the bolt heads flush so that when/if we wrap the back panel, they will be hidden. more coming now.
