A friend of a friend asks me if i can recone his AP subs, I say yes, so he brought me his old subs and then had recones shipped to my house. Now I haven't gutted the old subs yet but I just took a look at the recones and I'm not sure what to do with them. They have a full dish aluminum cone with no dust cap. They are also pre-assembled so you cannot get to the gap inside the former to shim them out so they don't rub. Anyone have any idea on the best way to go about doing this?
