Just realized I needed to update to more of what has happened since summer.

this is the day the head scratching started, weird temperature issues just didnt sit right with me so time to get suspicious.

I was able to have both cars home while I was doing some troubleshooting. Was a nice peace of mind driving something that worked as it should.

And I had to take the skittle through a parking garage and of course take the obligatory roof picture.

And the teardown process started. Repainting the intake manifold, fuel rail, factory valve cover and anything else I come across.

Of course got screwed over on manifold gasket and a couple odds and ends.

But, mainly BOTH of the dowel alignment pins breaking off in the block. Made a custom tool with what was in the toolbox and managed to get them out

And this is with the "new" reman odessa cylinder head and the lettered valve cover on just as a cover.

Didnt want to rush it in one night so came back the next night for adding fluds and reconnecting the batteries.

This was after making it home on its maiden voyage. Running a modified thermostat so I have good flow at all times because I just wanted to be safe.

I didnt reuse the lettered valve cover because of the spark plug alignment issue and mysterious oil seepage so I said screw it for now.

I felt stupid as I have 2 different fuel rails, dont remember where one came from but probably pull a part. The inlet is at a slightly different angle so the hose clamp scratched a bit of my nice fresh valve cover but its driving again and thats what matters (can slightly see it above)

Heres a better daytime picture.

So it may not directly be audio related, but if the motor doesn't turn my alt safely that equates to no system lol

These things are huge

So running these will require some modifications to my existing speaker rings.

The idea. Sandwich rings with PL. Route the holes.

Need more clamps!
