That's the point. In the class he runs in you're limited to only 2000 watts. To get the most of that power, he compensated by making the enclosure fairly large (6+ cubes for 2 12's). If he were to just add power how it sat, it may gain some as more power is applied, but the mechanical integrity of the subs' suspensions will come into play very fast. In laymens terms, this is made to get as loud as possible on 2000 watts. Adding much more power would end up proving useless at a point. Jordan it's good to see you guys still out there and getting at it. I've been dealing with gathering equipment, being busy with school, and all kindsa crap so I sure haven't had the time I'd like to work at this stuff. Hoping to get everything doing well enough for the spring until I get home and have time to tinker. I'm gonna try to have a new low tuned port to demo 17hz by then. And ideally be able to quickly adjust it for spl. We'll see how that goes. fecupe2001 Posted February 27, 2013 Report Share Posted February 27, 2013 Another good example was my explorer, i was burping a 148.7 @ 42 hz using a pair of DD 2512´s and a DD m1b wired at .5 ohms, i had lots of efficiency for sure, i tried a DD m3 and only got to 149.6 and subs were having lots of problem with the power lol I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
