since the battery negative is connected to the frame, chassis, engine block, body or any other metal surface it acts as a closed loop so technically there is no spot itself that is a ground but rather the car itself is a circuit with electricity flowing through it to and from the battery in a circle. So there is no distinguished ground like there is in a household circuit

If you remove battery neg, circuit is dead, that is the ground lol

The actual surface the vehicle is sitting on? I know tires are pretty damn good insulators though. Meh

no if the car is running the car will still run u just have no acc.

Because the alternator is your power source, unhook the regulator plug after you pull neg and the car will die.
