Its still a beast of a amp regardless. Theres better but its still a hell of a good amp in my opinion. No matter what brand it is, theres always amps that wont do rated.

They are solid amps that do rated but not until higher voltage and lower impedance. I love my XXX 4K. been running it at .5 for about a month on stock alt, big 3, and d3100 in rear and have had no problems. I knew someone who had a 4k that ran it at .35 on music down to 11 volts daily with no problems. still has it I believe. only problem with the 10K is it should have been made with dual inputs. I would never run one without them.

Keep in mind the XXX has been discontinued for a while with the exception of the 15K. If you look the new X3.60 has almost identical guts to the XXX 4K. but, it is rated way less than the 4K. Soundstream took a hit when the new owners, Epsilon, came along. quality went way down. it has been slowly coming back though. The newer amps are a lot better especially the X3 amps, XXX amps, and tarantula amps.
