I have done tons and tons of research, and this is my last step before I build. Im looking for pics, build logs of peoples door panels so I know I am doing it right! Anything is appreciated, thanks! andhog12 Posted January 19, 2013 Report Share Posted January 19, 2013 Lets say i cut out part of my door panel in order to make my speakers fit. do i have to put anything behind the speakers? and if not, will this cause problem with the windows? Pioneerchuck Posted January 20, 2013 Report Share Posted January 20, 2013 Make sure you measure the clearance behind the panel to see if the speakers will fit when mounted without obstructing anything like the windows, lock bars, or door mechanisms. As for bracing the back side of the speaker, you shouldn't have to as long as you give it a good mounting ring to hold onto. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
