john253a Posted November 27, 2012 Report Share Posted November 27, 2012 ive seen many just do the 6x9 and as many as they can fit, my mates 04 camero has 8x 6.5" 2ways on the bored holder roll bar and 4 in the boat (2 rear and 2 front) and single sealed 10" up front the 6.5" on the roll bar are fitted back to back so it only looks like 4 speakers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bump4life Posted November 27, 2012 Report Share Posted November 27, 2012 all you need are some PA speakers for the boat. yea you could do a couple 18s but thats a lot of weight. bigger boats would be effected less. My family owns 20ft four winz family cruiser. It has a kenwood deck stock speakers. 4 6.5 coaxials. if I just replace those stock speakers with 4 component sets consistting of a PA style woofer and PA tweet and maybe 2 10inch subs under the rear bench im sure that would get plenty loud and clean!! I saw it in person not long after it was done (on a trailer, since they were coming back from a local wakeboard tournament). They offered to give me a demo of it when it was finished, but I wasn't able to go because of work. There are 24 tower speakers. That's right TWENTY-FOUR. 4 speakers per amp.
