SMD RCA's Now Available! Single Ended (Coax) and Twisted Pair (Differential Input)

Recommended Posts

Someone mentioned price and why we are "charging so much" for x amount of dollars worth of materials. I deleted it. I will explain something though for those that don't understand.

First of all, we didn't and tell anyone what the materials cost us. So you spitting out a number, about what we paid, when you don't know, is kinda a cheap shot. I will tell you guys this, we chose top of the line wire AND RCA ends. They are not cheap by any means. Then after you buy all the materials, there is building them, set by set by set by set......and someone has to do it, and they don't work for free. These are hand made, and not being mass produced out of China. Then you have the hand testing, and signed books showing results of every individual set. The books cost money to print, the paper aint free and the ink isn't cheap. The packaging costs money. Items being shipped from D'Amore, to me and me back to them. I have assistants working with me that help me do inventory, shipping, and the biggest one of all, getting it all on the websites. Everything costs money. So i think with all that said, our RCA's are pretty cheap for the QUALITY you get.

why am i explaining all that? because everyone puts the price of what we do in materials alone but there is a lot more to having products brought to market then the rawest materials. Plus, we did NOT skimp and buy cheap stuff. Every part in EVERY product we use is the best we can source.

thanks for your understanding in this matter :D :D

by this weekend, i am going to have "Multi-Packs" available and they will consist of (3) 16' footers and (3) 3' Footers for each series (SE and DI). I will also have (3) 12' Footer (3) 3' Footer multi-packs for a little less.

Basically, you save MAJOR cash by buying them in a complete set like that. I will reveal pricing when i get the site up, hopefully tomorrow.

I am going to also release Y adapters too so you can have matching sets when the system calls for them. Within a week i will have those ready.

YES! I ACTUALLY NEED 6 FOR WHAT I WANT TO DO! Just when things got good, they got better. You, sir, are the bomb.

the way i am planning it, you save $150 from MSRP and at least $90 off my MAP pricing (the price i am currently selling for). So ya its significant if you pull the trigger on a complete set. That should be enough to run Front, Rear, and Sub from your source up front to rear processor, then from rear processor to amps. I will have about 4 different combo's for each series before i am done and some will include 6' footers. Individually the price is what it is.........but if you buy a multipack, you will save some serious duckets :D

I had a chance to get my hands on both these / try to break / void the warranty the other day and I was impressed with the quality. Very good quality wire, and the ends are exactly what a quality end should be. Finish in the solder joints and protection of the solder joints are great.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

im liking the sound of this. cant justify spending 300 on rca's either but at a package deal i just might be able to.

by any chance for those that have at home entertainment centers or what not would you guys be able to or willing to make custom ordered rca's for specific at home uses?

Thank you

Thank you

Thank you

For marketing the correct cable for the correct application.

Seeing "twisted pair" EVERYWHERE was getting old.......

I've got good old RG6 and its way too stiff. I've been meaning to look for smaller and more flexible coax and BAMM you guys bring out another great product!

A lot of people aren't going to know which cable they need, given 90% will be single-ended.

Any thoughts of a tester to help people tell the difference easily if the info isn't readily available?

Spoiler: Use a DMM referenced to ground. Probe each conductor of your RCA or HU ouput connection.

Play a test tone at your max unclipped volume.

If you see AC voltage on both conductors, you're differential.

If you only see AC voltage on the center conductor, and not the outside conductor, your single ended.

Really liking the innovation you guys are bringing to the game!

:drink40:

I've got some RG-11 if your up to the task! lol

I just want to say to anyone who is put off about the price is to look into doing quality products yourself. Not only can good ends cost you a buck to 100 bucks EACH end, Quality coax or Twisted is difficult to find. There is an overload of crap wire in the market. I see it all the time in CCTV. just cause it looks the same, is called the same, doesn't mean it will perform the same. Nothing worse then running 1000ft of cheap and good in the same conduit, to see the quality difference be night and day on the screen. Yes, I did say 1000ft ;)

Then once you spend all this money for supplies, you have to take the crackhead time to solder them all together. Even if you think you are somewhat good at soldering, you will be challenged in a simple task as this. Hitting all those pins without having too much wire exposed, not getting the wire too hot to melt the inner jacket AND not getting the pin too hot and melting the support takes time, practice, and patience. I make my own rca's and trust me, Steve's prices are way cheaper then what I would charge :D

My RF Riot Twisted Cables started at $69.99 and went up past $129.99, maybe more iirc - i know they were not cheap at all. And they were not hand made and individually tested/certified in writing either. Ours have a medium price range. Not dirt ass, radio-shack cheap, but not pricing likeyou would see on a REAL high end set. If you know RCA's, you know they can ask OBSURD amounts of money. I am not making any special claims about "extra SQ" from them, but i will claim a HIGH QUALITY, hand made product you can depend on for years. :)

If you think about it, there is 8 solder joints in an RCA and what you pointed out is another thing, you have to be GOOD at it or they will be garbage within weeks. That solder job has to be on point. Just because it works when you first hook it up doesn't mean you will get years of service out of a mediocer solder job. Especially if you remove them a lot. Also, just to make 3 measley RCA cables, you are looking at now 24 Solder joints. Not to mention set-up time, getting it all stripped, prepped and in a good position to do the job. Ever try to solder with a wire just laying on the table? Its a pain in the ass. We use a jig of course but even that has to be setup. So ya, RCA's are not rocket science but they do take time to build properly and we do use great materials. What more can you ask for :D
