Was curious about the measured surface area if it was a true 15" and not middle of surround to middle of surround, and about db loss from it, but that was already answered. My next question may be hypothetical, but do you think future speakers would reach a point where having too much linear excursion would distort the sound since the cone would have to travel a greater distance to replicate the sound, and may not be able to move as fast as the sound wave being sent to the speaker? Also, would there be any custom prospects for a 21" version of the subwoofer? I've been talking with a few local guys into using car audio based subwoofers for club/portable pa use over traditional pa systems.
