subs not hitting low bass

Lol crazy Octo-post. What are the specs of your box and port area per foot? Also what kind of subs. Just so you know too, tuning to 35 with a genrous amount of port, lows won't be to strong.

fuck the plating. look at what the main metal used is. you could buy unicorn blood plated terminals but if its just covering up dog shit, whats the point

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

there is the stuff for the box that i built. things didnt come out exactly like that, but i think everything should still be relatively similar...

and the subs are rockford fosgate P3 ten inch ones. the 400 watt rms one. the amp itself is s Kole Audio QX1-3000d. my last set up was 2 alpine 12 inch type S subs in a sealed box running off an alpine m1000 amp wired to only put out 600 watts. that set up wasnt as loud, but it definitely hit more consistently over all notes than this set up.

Ya tuning of 35Hz and that much port area your not going to have to much bandwidth below 35hz, which is where the lows start to comes.

Edit: Also how did you get your measurements for the port.

Glad to see the consensus. I just built a box that will end up housing 2 12" Skars(which I'm sure you know love the lows), and only gave a little over 12" per foot on port. I believe it will make love to the lows with Barry White in the background.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

just experimented with the measurements until it gave me about 35 Hz.

but im still wondering about the amp itself....wouldnt changing the low pass and sub sonic levels at least do something to the bass?? it doesnt change it at all.

and its a 1998 mazda 626.

oh, i also played a frequency test from youtube in my car and 35-50 were all ridiculously loud but under 35 it just got so much softer and quieter.

If the subsonic filter is set around 35 Hz, then that would have an effect on it. But that is about the only thing I could think of that would be caused by the amp.

yea, and since the amp was bought used i was wondering if it has something fried inside or if something is broken internally so that nothing happens when i move the sub sonic or low pass knobs around. if i could find someone with a system in their car then i could just connect my subs to their amp and see if it changed anything.

So...what should i be assuming is wrong here? the tuning of the box or the amp? since torres has apparently been screwing stuff up with the newest version I dont even know if that spec sheet i posted is correct. I'm still confused about why nothing would change when i moved the low pass and sub sonic knobs around though.
