300 amps at idle from a single GM Alternator?? NO WAY!!!

Looking for more output at idle from ANY alternator on your 1999-2012 GM truck or SUV ??? Look no further !!!

We will soon be stocking OVERDRIVE harmonic ballancers for LS series GM trucks and SUV's with 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L engines, 1999 through 2012. This replacement ballancer has a larger diameter 8 rib crankshaft pulley on it. This means that your alternator or alternators will be spinning 10% faster at idle, which can mean a 50 to 100 amp increase at idle, depending on which high output alternator(s) you have.

If you are running multiple high output units and have a problem with belt slip, we also offer an 8 rib conversion that comes with everything you need to swap to an 8 rib belt, increasing belt traction and idle speed at the same time !! (alternator pulleys sold separately)

On top of that, we will also be stocking SCT and Diablosport handheld tuners. These devices upload a high performance tune to your vehicle's engine computer that increases HP, and ALSO allows you to increase your engine idle speed to up to 1,000 rpm.

The combination of a tuner, crank pulley, and our 370 amp Elite series unit would result in over 300 amps at idle !!! Watch for demo videos soon!!

Seems like a larger crankshaft pulley would make every one of your accessories spin faster, reducing the life expectancy of all the accessories and robbing horsepower from engine.

You are exactly right-

Mounting (4) 370 amp alternators on the engine and piling the back of a vehicle with 3,000 lbs of audio equipment and batteries doesn't help performance either, but bass-heads do it all the time. These upgrades are not meant for the average guy with a 2500 watt amp- they are meant for the extremist or competitor who doesn't mind sacrificing performance and a marginal amount of accessory life to get every last bit of performance out of their audio system. I can tell you from experience that there are a lot of our customers out there in that category.

Also, the tuners have the ability to lower the rev limiter on the engine to a safe speed, so that your accessories are not overspun on full throttle gear changes.

I am VERY interested in this, I get belt slip during gear changes and would love to eliminate that completely. Let me know what I am looking at price wise for my truck. Also I noticed during my meter run under full tilt burp I get some belt slip as well after watching the video you can hear it squeal for a second.
