trainman0978
I prefer the LCD projection myself. I don't play video games though. I just wish I would have gave it a few more months and got the 1080p instead of the 1080i. The blu-ray and HDDVD came out around 3 months after I bought my tv in 2006. 50 inch sony LCD projection. not super thin, but one hell of a t.v. meade916
plasma all the way even on gaming.... i have gamed on both and the plasma pwns IMO. LCD doesnt suck, i love it......especially for a bedroom TV, but the plasma looks better. Oh and both are LG so im not comparing brand a to brand B.......i know different companies gonna have different results. This is just the results i have personally experienced. Again the projection that i was SUPER proud of about 3 years ago can go kick rocks LOL.......i wanna sell it and get a 63" plasma for that room but i dont think anyone will buy it I know if it cant hang on the wall, ill never spend another nickel on a TV and that goes for the kids rooms too..... meade916
oh for gaming, the LCD will have little to no "burn in". the plasma is bad about that.....if you leave it on pause for a few minutes and shut the screen off you will see it slightly.....no big deal it disapears as soon as you fire the tv back up but that is the only drawback. As far as gaming, both the 360 on VGA and ps3 on HDMI look incredible on it. Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! 99GPGTX
thanks for the input. i have just heard from different people that the LCD is "much" better for gaming and i simply could not believe that bc COD4 on my plasma looks absolutely ridiculous IMO. just cant wait to Play the new Socom :-D plasma ftw Quote Currently: 2015 Evo X WW Forgestar F14 18s --Rally Armour Mudflaps ETS 3.5" FMIC, CAI, Open Dump DownPipe, Test Pipe, Ultimate Racing Catback, BLEVINS TUNE, Fortune Auto 500 Coilovers Build: Crescendo Mezzos x2 Crescendo 800.4, 1500.1 Loaded Fi Q12 Second Skin Pro XS D5100 RF 360.2 Sky High Audio Wiring Need: ALTERNATOR! tejcurrent
Nice TVs bro. I have a 42" Panasonic 1080p plasma I got about a year ago from a guy who couldn't pay his rent. I had a 32" Sony vvega flat tube, and a guy just bought the panasonic (he showed me the receipt for over $4000 ) so the plasma cost me $300 + the sony I wouldn't really consider a used plasma, but the guy was in the army and hadn't used it much because he was only home a day or so a week. I'd say I like the plasma better than the LCD- I've compared both and just think it has a better look to it. I really want to put the one I have now upstairs and get a new 50" downstairs- but the wife doesn't like that plan Edited January 28, 2008 by tejcurrent Quote tejcurrent XS Power T3
