Berto
Well since it was mentioned to be a lower wattage amp, but when asked about that people got all offended. heckvr4
i think its not fair to compare the 9k vs the 10k . 10k is a 12v amp. 9k has more potential .02 cents 1 Quote 05 f150 4 18'' DC lvl6 2 DC AUDIO 9.0ks 161.3 @ 44HZ build log here96 tahoe http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160522-8-18xls2-dc-100k4th-order/page-

Both amps are rated at 14v. If it was that simple I wouldn't be asking about differences. Quote TEAM FLEX ISSUES Car: 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal 24" Rims HU: 7" Carputer, Planet Audio EQ, iPhone. Maybe you lack intelligence and can't comprehend them, especially since you still think the 10k is a 12v amp after it's been mentioned various times that it rated at 14v. CJ18
Ok to clear up one thing that I think is eluding people. When we say that the 10k is a 12v amp, all that mean is that you cannot run it on a 14v or 16v system. For those of you that dont know, a 14v system charges at 16.8v and a 16v system charges at 19.2v. The 9k is stable UPTO 18v. This means that you can run a 12v system(charging at 14.8v), a 14v system(charging at 16.8v) or a 16v system(backed down and charging at 18v) When we say that the 10k is a 12v amp, that does not mean that it is meant to be run at 12v or below. All 12v setups should charge 13.8v-14.8v.
AA98hoe
Also I'm pretty sure rail voltages are higher on 10k meaning they do max wattage in the 12-14v parameters ..,were as 9k does more at higher voltage.. I'd like to see some heads up comparison tests .. Ill trade anyone my 2-7.5s for 9s or 10s Quote TEAM DC AUDIO VEHICLE:98 chevy tahoe 2wd 3-4 drop HEADUNIT:alpine 9886 PREAMP:arcaudio FRONT STAGE:4-6 1/2s selinium,DD component set and 4-selinium tweeters in each door KICKPANELS:jl audio 5 1/4 REAR DOORS: dd components 6 1/2s HIGHS AMPS:zapco 750.2 on front doors, zapco an another 750.2 on kicks and rear doors SUBS:4-ascendant audio 18s with 5 spiders in a custom box built by KINGSUV SUB AMP: 2-dc7.5s ALTERNATORS: 3-mechmans 1- 425comp, 1-smd spec350, 1-270 with adj voltage harness on custom dc bracket WIRE:10-runs 0g front to back BATTERIES:6-d1400s TL results:157.1 at 38hz and 156.8 at headrest score @37hz.
