Jon Webb
Here is the biggest build out of the 3. This is a 2007 Lexus LS460 that the owner wanted a build that was reliable, sounded great & could also be shown off a bit. He really wanted to keep the single 12W7 he already had as part of an exsisting install but the enclosure did not really fit in the trunk & allow extra space for even a pair of slippers, & the installation that was in the car was not really up to par. So other than using the subwoofer he had & looking for a little more space he really gave me freedom to build what I wanted. Just like the construction of a house or building we start off with a good plan (our blueprints) of what we are building & then we start by building a solid foundation. The foundation serves as a solid way to mount everything in the vehicle & ensure that the build will fit correctly & be sturdy enough to last a lifetime. The foundation is built by using steel 1" X 1" square tubing welded together & fastened securely into the vehicle by Nutserts that rivet into the vehicle much like the factory threaded inserts. Then we use 1/4-20 buttoncap allens & bolt the frame into the car. I like to tie as much of the build togther as possible even if the frame needs to bolt together once inside the car. The amps will mount to the frame along with the enclosure, and all the panels that are built. As always, All connections were Soldered & insulated with heat shrink, Wiring was routed & fastened with zip ties every 3" throughout the car & every 1" where it ties into the car or equipment. Custom Dash pods were also built for the 3" Midrange & Tweeter & fastened into the vehicle with 1/4-20 buttoncap allens, washers, & lock nuts. Again this was a Full Active setup. Equipment used... Source: Factory Navigation, Bluetooth etc. Integration/Processor: Audison Bit One Front Stage: Audison Voce AV6.5 (Midbass), AV3.0 (Midrange), AV 1.1 (Tweeters) Active Front stage, Midbass was mounted in the doors in factory locations. Midrange & Tweeter were On-Axis in Custom build pods. Subwoofers: A pair of JL Audio 12W7's (Sealed Downfire Enclosure) (Yes I snuck in a 2nd 12W7 that he didnt know about until the car was finished!) Amplifiers: Audison Voce AV UNO: Subwoofers (1200 watts @ 2 0hms, 1700 watts @ 1 Ohm X 1) AV DUE: Midbass (260 watts @ 4 Ohms X 2) AV QUATTRO: Midrange & Tweeters (120 watts @ 4 Ohms X 4) FULL DA: AV BIT IN (X 3) added to each amplifier for a Full DA setup once the Audison Bit Play HD is released Sound Damping: Hushmat Power Wire: Stinger 1/0 Speaker Wire: Subwoofers: Stinger 10ga. Twisted Midbass: Stinger 12ga black Midrange: Stinger 12ga black Tweeters: Stinger 14ga black Power Distrobution: Audison Connection Interconnects: NONE! FULL DA Uses shielded Cat5 Lighting: AAMP Of America White LED strips. Please bare with me. I'm posting more pics & my computer is fighting me.... Jon Webb Performance Audio Las Vegas 7035 W.
