John C Leonard
I have a 2007 chevy impala and I was wondering how much deadener it would take to cover every inch of metal on the inside of the car, not the trunk but everything from the floor to the roof
Second Skin Rep Jon
Based on some quick measurements I have on hand, you're looking at about 100 sq. ft.. 100% coverage on all four doors, roof, and floor, excluding the trunk area. Of course this isn't the best method for sound deadening and I would prefer a more strategic plan of attack to get the most bang for your buck. What are you goals? Shooting for a quieter ride? Or is this going to be an SPL comp vehicle? Or SQ? You could probably not go so heavy on the floor as that area typically comes pre-treated from the factory with some form of sound deadening. Adding some Luxury Liner Pro to that area would probably be more beneficial. Quote Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me!
John C Leonard
I want to just try to keep as much sound in the car as possible with as little vibrations as I can. I have an fi sp4 18 and I don't plan on going to many competitions but I still want It to be set up right, do you think the spectrum sludge or the luxury liner would be better for the floor.
