RockFord4lyfe
I am thinking of going for a bit more bass, upgrading from my 1 15. My bass amp is a crescendo audio bc2000D, and i was looking for advice. Which of these 2 options would be a better use of the power i have? option A: 4 12" d2 Sundown E series wired to 1 ohm. option B: 2 15" d4 Sundown SA series wired to 1ohm. * not a vs thread just want to use the little money i have wisely. thanks in advance for your advice, dom. Raptorman
Four 12's is I think around 40-50% more cone area than two 15's if I am not mistaken. It would theoretically be louder if you are looking at only the cone area aspect of it. The power distribution among subs would be perfect in either situation. There's no way to tell for certain what would be louder. The four 12's have more motor force as well. That's all I'm going to say, you can't really say which would be louder without actually testing. 1996 GMC Sonoma Four Fi BTL Neo 18's In 2:1 6th Order Bandpass 2 Ampere 5k's @ .5 TEAM FI TEAM #LITHIUMCANTDEMO On 10/20/2013 at 0:37 AM, KillaCam said: Fucking with a Prius driver is like making fun of a disabled kid. knockin'hoe97
As far as power handling goes my friend has 4 sundown e series 10s we hooked my dc 5k up to them at 2ohms and they handled it just fine, and i've heard the sa series are little beasts so power handling should be fine either way
RockFord4lyfe
thanks, just wanted to know which would be better for the amp. I've seen some people with 2 Sa's on more power, but haven't seen much about the E series.

Pioneerchuck
If you get the 4 10s you'll get 30% more cone area out of them as compared to the 2 15s.

PowerHouse407
i would do 2 15's such as SA's over the E's but that's because i don't like subs rated that low RMS wise 2003 VW Jetta Wagon AA Mayhem 15's Flatline BA2 2 XS D3100's in rear Shuriken BT80 under hood Mike Singer 250A SHCA and KnuKonceptz wire Big 4+ AQ / Dayton pro mids+monsoon tweets My Build : http://www.stevemead...35#entry1989435
RockFord4lyfe
space is available for both options, leaning more towards the E 12's.
