Ghoagland
I have two sa12s on a saz1500 but I only have an xs d1200 in my trunk everything stock under the hood! My system dosen't seem very loud to me but my voltage commonly drops to 11.5, if I have a higher voltage like 13.5 on full tilt will my subs be louder. So my main question is does low voltage effect the output of watts on a amp?
Tarball
Watts = P Amps = I Volts = V P = I * V If V is lower then P is lower and your output is lower. Step 1 - do Big 3. How big is the power wire from your front battery to the one in the rear? What are you using to measure voltage drop and what part of your electrical system are you testing from? Ghoagland
And I have a stinger voltage meter hooked up to the positives and negatives on my d1200 in the trunk and into the remote on my amp!

Cynicalbass210
I'd replace that run of 4g with 0g all around. Including doing the big 3, that should help a bit. Also, make sure you have a good, solid and clean connection where your grounds are. You may want to look into a HO alt sometime down the road. 1991 Nissan PathfinderMechman 240A altAll wire 100% OFC 1/0Kenwood KDC-X497Pair of Kenwood Tweets/Pair of Rockford P1 5x7s9ft3 vented box ~32hz2 AQ HDC3 copper coil 18sSAZ-3500 @ 1ohm Powerbass ASA 200.239 sq. ft. damp pro.Kinetik 1200&2400(x2)
Ghoagland
What's the best thing for me to do for the cheapest? 0gage , another trunk battery , a under the hood battery, or the big 3?
Ghoagland
Will having a stronger electrical make my subs louder if I use the same amp?
808faka
big 3 in 0 gauge would be cheapest and yes stronger electrical means less voltage drop means more power from amp.
Pioneerchuck
Yes, the better you're electrical is the better the amp can perform. As for the cheapest to do at this point, upgrading from 4ga to 0ga is probably the cheapest route as of right now. You should be able to do that for somewhere in between $100- $200 depending on brand bought and amount. And is your under the hood battery stock or aftermarket?
