I've seen plenty of people on youtube do it, but not sure if its done right... dual 2, running it at 1 ohm. I don't see why everyone loves to pummel these 8s with power. The sub was designed to run on 500W RMS, and throwing 1000W or more is just creating more mechanical stress and thermal stress. The sub CAN take it, but you're not gaining anything by throwing that much power at it. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. I'm not a begginer. Would all be tuned in with the DD-1 and done right, with a good solid box. Wouldn't be using it for db, just eveyrday setup. The sub can't do anything with all that extra power.
