"Bill of Rights" must read need answers

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done any research on the bill of rights in a while?

I am talking about looking at the actual documents.

Check it out yourself. --> http://www.archives...._downloads.html

The question is every body keeps saying that the second amendment is the right to bear arms but the actual document it is the forth amendment. However the transcript shows the second amendment.

I can't read the picture because I'm on mobile but I always thought its the second amendment that tells the gov. That we the people have the right to bare arms and form a militia, and the fourth was that the government can't raid our homes with out a warrant

well I guess this explains it.

Article the first in the bill of rights was never ratified.

Article the second of the bill of right was not ratified until 1992. consequently this article is the the right for congress to give their self a raise.

therefor the actual numbering is based on how they were ratified. Since article's 3-12 were all ratified at the time of the bill of rights then they are the first ten amendments

Article the 3 = 1 amendment

Article the 4 = 2 amendment

Article the 5 = 3 amendment

Article the 6 = 4 amendment

Article the 7 = 5 amendment

Article the 8 = 6 amendment

Article the 9 = 7 amendment

Article the 10 = 8 amendment

Article the 11 = 9 amendment

Article the 12 = 10 amendment
