LSN2meBoom916
Ok so a buddy of mine has a 2006 Honda accord 2dr. Avic Z1 Boston SLR mids (I think) front and rear JL 500/1 for subs JL 300/4 for mids 1-Boston G5 12" 1-Boston GTR Tunable Passive Radiator He had asked me about box info for a while, and then with my "tech support" /info HE built a couple diff versions of a sealed box for his G5 12 and radiator. He also built the amp rack in the pics. I know I was curious about them until now, so Here's some shots of the Boston GTR Passive radiator. (If you don't know...www.fuckinGoogleIt.com, homie ) Skinny. Nice lookin surrounds tho. The "Dent" in the center is how it comes, I did not dent this...its some kinda plastic I think it'd just crack b4 it ever dented. He then decided that he wanted a box glassed in the corner to free up some trunk space but was too weary to dive in on the FGlass, so he I go: The OLD setup/how it was b4 I started. Dark pic of the amp rack 1,2, skip a few.... Here's the trunk masked off with painters tape and foil...and a layer or 2 of woven mat layed. Enter the SPACE HEATER (grey box). A must have in cold waether unless you like waiting an hour for your resin to cure. More layers... INCLUDING-My new favorite method (Thank You GP2K2/Timmay) to build strength in Fglass-Tearing up chop mat into strands and letting them soak up resin while u "tap" them down into place w/ ur brush. Builds STRONG. Chop mat strands in upper right-still dry/white. Then we go "Bake-O-Matic" in the trunk. I really wish I could close the garage right now..but the car's hangin 1/2 way out. Time crunch FTW. More to follow... Texas Tech
Yo LSN i got a question. Did you first apply ONLY resin and wait for it to cure? And then proceed with the matt? Oh and did you use some kind of release wax? Baylor University Accounting
