98 Honda Civic Gets A Refresh - Update page 20 - LED's, Glowing XS Logo,2 SMD VM-1's - 4/11/13

You gonna pop that dent in the passenger side fender by the hood?

I'm sure he will just leave it there, maybe he'll go and dent the drivers side to match. Out of all the work happening to the Civic and you point out a little dent.
I didnt point it out to be a dick. The craftmenship in this honda is far better then anything i could imagine to do. I can just tell from watching steves videos that hes a perfectionist when it comes to his cars. I was just asking a simple question. Sorry if i offended you.

Anyways keep up with the good work steve. Im excited to see it finished.

its no prob....of course the dent will be fixed. That dent (and a few others) been there since it was stolen. They didn't just steal this car, take what they wanted, and dump it. They DESTROYED it inside and out. The body on this car was perfect before they took it. No sense in fixing it now while i am still working on the system though.

This looks really nice, love the plexi and the panel flow. Sorry for asking but did you closed the trunk to make sure there wasn't any clearance issues?

You should paint the yellow foam black (where the trunk arms slot through the cover you made). That yellow shining through would stand out a lot less if you painted it black or some other color :) Looking awesome and looking forward to the results!

P.S. this is just a minor issue but I wanted to point it out anyway, like the dent.

Always liked this car, now it's going to a whole new level!

Love the trunk layout, awesome work bro!

Tuned in!

thanks man, i am real happy with it so far. I been running in my head what to do with the amp rack for years and how i was going to make the old box (the new amp rack) look good with a trim piece. It all just sorta happened haha...i didn't plan this, i just freestyled. That is probably the reason i didn't post vids till yesterday because i wasn't sure it was going to work this way. So far so good though :)

theres one thing that keeps confusing me when it comes to setting gains with DD-1.. when you run multiple amps, you set the gains on each amp separately..

We know that voltage is a part of distortion..

My point is that when you play some beat you use all amps at the same time and the voltage might go lower than you set it up..

I hope you got the point lol

Im sure theres an explanation for that, I just didnt get there yet lol

Great Work!

sometimes Loud is NOT pretty

Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over.

naww man, i think i will make the trunk look REAL nice and then leave the foam where you can see it. That was the plan, until i saw your post. LOL

Not painting it black i have other plans, but thanks for the advice. Before you give me any more advice on what i need to do, can ya let me finish first though? thanks!

Great Work!

its simple, its called gain matching. You can do it with a DMM or even faster, more accurately do it with a CC-1 in competition mode. Or you can run Rockford Fosgate amps and just set the master amp and let the other 3 slave amps follow its lead.

easy. Thanks for the thread jack though.
