I ran 4k for a while with a 270 amp alternator, 2 3400s, and lots of 0 gauge and my voltage would still drop down to around 12 volts Quote 2000 zx2: Rebuild with 8 12s on a 10k underway!! CJ18 Posted February 22, 2013 Report Share Posted February 22, 2013 I will show you on Saturday what voltage looks like with 1 5k wired at .5 ohm with 3 XP 3000s and 1 d3400 with a stock crappy camaro alternator. I expect it to drop pretty hard after the initial charge is gone. Just to give you an idea what it does with a 350a alt at the same batteries, he will still get drop down to around 13.5v from 14.4. I have 1 D3400 in the front, 2 D3100 in the rear and stock alt (75A, for now) and I can defenately feel a serious difference that the previous 2K. lolitskasey Posted March 20, 2013 Report Share Posted March 20, 2013 I will be running one DC 5k @.5 ohms with a DC power XP 270 with the biggest batt I can fit under the hood with three group 31s in the back with 4 runs of pos 1/0 gauge wire.
