They're doing so good economically... It's like not trusting this forum because with it, Steve can track you're IP address and know where you are, but here you are still posting in this thread. Say I look at a video card on google. Then I read a news article or browse reddit. I get ads from newegg for video card specials from google adsense. What about that traffic info on your phone? Google takes GPS data and then converts it to see which cars have slowed down on the road. If I go to sears, and I sit down while my kids are trying on shoes and open solitare, I get ads for craftsman tools. . . . you get ads for craftsmen tools because you probably discussed tools ONLINE somewhere. Google ads are relevant on PURPOSE. I like that about it. If we are discussing the new Young Jeezy album here on the forum, i would rather a "buy Young Jeezy here" ad come up then a feminine hygene ad or Viagra or something. i honestly think you are panicking for no reason. When he got in the building, ALL smart phones got shut down, (my Dad's, Sisters, and Dad's fiance) and wouldn't turn on. I bet if they wanted, they could control your camera and you could do nothing about it, except smash your phone. That is why I plan on keeping a phone that can't be controlled like that, aka a dumbphone. I wouldnt say I'm in a panic per se, just astounded no one has really brought it up. I know my company monitors social networking and other statistics. I think I'm more trying to bring awareness to it, not to rain on anyones parade, or put on my tinfoil hat. I dont think a lot of people realize what can be done, what is being done, and with some of the tech I've seen, what the government is probably doing. I mean, they're de-classifying spy satalites from 50 years ago that can get a license plate number from space . . . I can only imagine what they can do now.
