beau123 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Share Posted March 8, 2013 Does anyone knows the best box design musical sounding for an l7? who can calculate one for me i want it ported.(in cm please) i listen to almost everything exept hardstyle hardcore and shit like that. i know this is'nt a soundquality woofer but i know you can get great sound out of it. what i have know as a design is 110 liters (without bracing sub and port) with the original port 6,4CM wide 41 cm high and 50 cm long i hope that somebody has a better one. Max measurements in all directions Out of that what u would like to work within Amp Elect system What u want to achieve with it The car is a Vauxhall/Opel Astra G sport hatchback 1.6 16v (a german car) max measurements 90cm wide and 60 cm deep how high it is is no problem i like it smaller so ik can also put luggage in my trunk The amp is an kicker 06 ZX 2500.1 Electrical system is almost standard. 120 amp alternateor and 2 Exide Maxxima one in the front and one in the back. 50mm/0/1 gauge wires front to back power and ground. and if you want to know i have a pioneer 6400bt headunit steg k2.02 speaker amp foor my doors. and a audio system xion component set in the doors i want to play some loud and clear music with it. beau123 Posted March 10, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 10, 2013 It's not rated at 1000rms port only 1000rms sealed It rated at 750rms ported What coil config do you have Because I hope it's d2 so you run at 4ohm final on that amp it is a dual 4 ohm so the load is 2 ohm. and i am really careful on the gain and i use a dd1. and mine is now in a closed enclosure the biggest one in the book first it was playing on the steg but i wanted more power. a friend of mine have one 12 inch l7 dual 4 ohm also on a 2500.1 and he has it like 4 years now. and it still works! The sub is rated up to 1,000wrms. i read something about that they are power hungry so i spended a little more money on it. and i think that the amp never reaches 2500 watts on music. the guy that sells this stuff in holland said that this is a great combination for loud music. and when i wanted something heavier i can trade it for a dual 2 ohm version and buy a second one. but in this small car this is enough the only thing is i miss a lot of bass in a sealed enclosure.
