noob low pass frequency questions

Recommended Posts

if headunit low pass is set to 80hz, just keep the amp crossover up above 80hz. headunit will take care of it.

you blew subs because clipping. clipping because improper settings. improper settings because user doesn't have proper testing equipment.

you'll keep blowing subs until properly tuned. no that doesn't mean just turning knobs willy nilly.

you still need a subsonic filter for a sealed box lol....

Really that will leave such a gap in his front soundstage. He doesn't have a mids running off an amp it's head unit power. It will work but will not sound good on music that only hits that low

what in the world are you talking about...what gap?

edit: if he's running the speakers off the deck, then they're likely being ran full range, unless the headunit has its own filters for that. there is no gap LOL.

You guys are soo off topic is redic sorry OP

If he has a HPF on his HU set at 80hz amp set LpF at 45 hz? No gap you don't quite explain enough to make sense. That's what it sounds like to me. Want him to set a subsonic filter on a 2 channel old school amp that doesn't have one. This is hilarious. Imma noob haha
