72 Chevelle System Fix - Worst install (by a shop) ever - REDO - FINISHED - Page 23 6/17/13

Recommended Posts

The home glued coax made me laugh pretty good.

That would have never seemed like a good idea, not even when I was doing my first installs before I had my own car and barely knew what I was doing. Not even if I was trying to half ass it. That looks like more work than drilling a hole for it somewhere.

I want to see a video of these at full tilt, let's see how good that glue is!

what could motivate a shop to do an install like that? What does 5 racks mean?

Anyhow, wondering why he did not just come to you in the first place...

5 racks means $5,000.00 for the install.. 5 G's , 5 K whatever you want to call it lol

anyway i cant wait to see how it comes out, i'm sure youll do a great job as always

The body is a 72, the front clip is from a 70 though. Check out the taillights, 72 style. same as the body lines.

I'm in no way anywhere close to professional. I've never built anything custom (boxes, kick panels, etc) but this is disgusting. I do all my friends installs (mostly cause i don't have a car or the funds to do my own) and i would never ever do anything like this. What would make them think it's okay to glue tweeters to the cone of the midrange???

As I lay rubber down the street, I pray for traction I can keep, but if I spin and begin to slide, please dear God protect my ride.

You guys act like you have never clogged a toilet and ran around the bathroom frantically hoping it don't overflow.
