MUCH, MUCH easier than trying to ghetto rig power supplies. I ran almost 6k in a house. Sooo... Just get an amp and a crossover and be done with it. Get one used and re-sell it when you are done. It will be cheaper than taking the $$$ loss of the power supply you'd need.But if you are looking for something you can re-use in your car. A battery charger on a battery, PSU etc etc. If you don't know what you're doing don't do this. Seriously Your only safe option is either using a small plate amp to run whatever you want, or go to a garage sale/goodwill and buy an old receiver.
