pstone11
Cool, thanks for all the comments - on with the pics! I wanted to get the headliner out of my way so I finally went ahead and cut it down and recovered it. First I did it in the factory color but really really hated it so I pulled it back out and recovered it in black. I'm not sure if I have any pics of the sunroof but it was removed, cut down, sealed, reinstalled, foamed, and birched. I like the look of the sunroof hole so I just covered it in black and reinstalled the trim. Much better - no worries about that ugly overhead console, it is just there holding the headliner up. pstone11
After the test fit and lifting that one level 6 into placeI decided that I didn't want to load anymore subs for the day and moved on to some bracing. The box is really strong already and the individual sides do not have much surface area to flex but I just didn't like the forward facing baffle being attached from the front only. I would prefer to attach things from multiple angles for strength but that really wasn't an option for that side. Internal bracing wasn't an option either because of the lack of real estate on the baffles. So, me and Jake decided to do some external reinforcement. EDIT - Wear safety glasses when you grind or cut metal - I forgot in this pic but nothing good can come of it - not cool.
