BFF Larry Posted May 2, 2013 Report Share Posted May 2, 2013 while im still searching for another cactus sounds k12, i have a couple people willing to sell their DC 12k amps. i just want to know if it is possible to gain match these two amps, Dont these amps have the same board? my friend, Blake Clements, explained to me some stuff about these amps and other 12k amps that use the same board. Can somebody chime in and give me more info, or tell me other stuff, disagreeing or agreeing, so on Someone with amp knowledge!?!! thanks in advance! Watch the bass Posted May 2, 2013 Report Share Posted May 2, 2013 Don´t think that gainmatching work. Would be easyer to find 2 big DC amp´s than a second Cactus. Sell the Cactus. Are the amp´s real same design? And if ther the same, why not trying to strapp them? I realy think that it want work, matching or strapping. Plus the need for master/slave isn't needed when you have a cc-1 to do gain matching with. All the master/slave case does is perform the matching for you, thats it. I would not try running them on a system that is gain matched as you will have different qualities in parts that will cause variations in the signal.
